The:artist:networkbeijing was established in 2007. It served as a satellite project, expanding the reach of our New York organization. Adding to our exhibition programming, we constructed a physical building to house residency artists and office space in Caochandi village, in the Chaoyang District of Beijing. The core team of the the:artist:networkbeijing lived and worked on site from 2007-2009, cumulating with the organization and execution of the 798 Beijing Biennale in 2009.
